Amelia Moore Cements Herself Further Into Her Own Style with New Single “Moves”
Amelia Moore continues to show her expertise since signing with Capitol Records by releasing a brand new single titled “Moves.” The 21 year old Georgia native, now based in L.A., knew music was her calling from a very young age.
She has grown immensely as both a person and an artist after gaining lots of attention from other original songs she created and teased on TikTok while in quarantine. Since releasing her bold and emotionally transparent single “Sweet and Sour,” Moore has made an even clearer path for herself of doing what she loves continually. With her debut EP having a release date set in 2022, she proves that even homeschoolers can make it big with enough hard work and love for a certain craft.
“I’ve been working so hard over the past few years, and waited until I found the most authentic version of my music before putting anything out. I hope my songs make people feel powerful, and inspire them to believe in themselves and trust their gut no matter what everyone else is doing. You really can alter your reality, and it’s completely up to you to make that happen.”
The immediate smoothness of “Moves” can bring anyone into the right mood instantly. With perfectly pitched vocals, a catchy beat, and fitting sounds effects supporting from the background, this track shows off Moore’s style of artistry better than ever before. The track focuses on the uncomfortableness of complicated relationships, and at times, how they can feel like a game of chess. Moore says herself, in one of the more significant lines, that “hanging out is only cool when I’m not hanging by a thread,” showing that she wished her impact was larger on someone else’s life. Life is never simple, however, as our everyday can easily become just as complicated as a board of black and white squares.
