The stripped version of the song veers off in a completely different direction than the original track’s vision, departing from driving beats and soaring synths to instead bring the formerly passionate single into a soulful simmer. With James’ tender vocals and intricate guitar work serving as his sole backing instrumental, the song becomes a thoughtful reflection on pining nostalgia and memory.

James Bay, hailing from the UK, is an innovative singer, songwriter, guitarist, and producer who confidently challenges himself and popular music.
