AIYANA’S SINGLE “HOW IT STARTED” IS A SWEET REFLECTION ON RELATIONSHIPS
Hey, have you heard the debut single “how it started” by Aiyana? If not then listen up because you are in for a treat, if yes then I have found my ppl! It’s an electronic pop gem with refreshingly honest lyrics about reminiscing on past relationships. Aiyana drew inspiration from her friends’ meaningful and cute experiences in their own relationships to come up with the catchy chorus.
What’s interesting about Aiyana is that she spent her childhood in the South West of France surrounded by classical music. But now based in Sussex, she’s using her honeyed vocals and cutting lyricism to deliver parting shots to former partners with acerbic wit. You can tell her upcoming EP’s title, “Friends Forever,” is dripping with irony.
Despite the song’s melancholic themes, ” how it started ” is an exciting and wholly authentic opening statement. It’s a promising start for this Brighton newcomer, and I can’t wait to hear more from her in 2023. Keep your ears peeled for Aiyana because she’s definitely one to watch.
