Remedies sets forth an anthem for resistance. With its inspiring new release “Don’t let it in,” the Norwegian duo urges against giving into any negative influences. It’s all about refusing to submit to outside forces or to buckle under the pressure of painful emotions.
Whether it’s about major life changes, propaganda, or pressure, one must try to block out influences that could harm our core values and principles.
Remedies
Remedies’ simplicity in storytelling is a strength, letting its genre-defying track and distinctive production take the spotlight:
When it blows
The sky will fall
But I won´t run
I won’t crawl
“Don’t let it in”
Raw vocals with a slight rasp and an enchanting edge lure in listeners with a sound that can only be described as bewitching. Gentle strumming with ambient highlights and strings evoke a slightly folksy touch, developed by almost eerie cinematic sounds. This indie pop, alt-rock track is unconfinable by genre — a testament to Remedies’ ability to do it all.
Since 2016, Remedies has been composing, writing, producing, and releasing music independently. Straight from Narvik in Northern Norway, Tor Erik Krane Ursin (instrumentals) and Sigrid Ravn Ryan (vocals) make a dream team. With their first EP in 2019, Delusions, and their first full-length album in 2022, Lights Out, Remedies has established itself as a duo to watch out for.
“Don’t let it in” marks the first of the three singles from Remedies’ next album, coming soon.
