Here are our daily picks for you featuring Kevian Kraemer, Taylor Acorn, Beau and more!

1. “SEXY 4EVER (feat. Nile Rodgers)” – INJI

Brimming with infectious harmonies and spunky lyricism, “SEXY 4EVER (feat. Nile Rodgers)” by pop artist INJI is sure to get heads nodding and feet tapping. The catchy new composition, which features American songwriter Nile Rodgers, counters society’s stereotype to look younger in order to appear more beautiful. “Sexy is a mindset and sexy is a cult,” INJI spits during the bridge. ” . . . I’ll be sexy forever.” Sparkling vocals and a diverse mixture of synthesizers contribute to the song’s dance-pop atmosphere. The song is part of her sophomore EP, “WE GOOD,” a 5-track release that serves as an optimistic reminder not to stress over the uncontrollable, especially during one’s 20s.

2. “What Are You Doing To Me” – Beau

Up next is “What Are You Doing To Me,” the newest release from multitalented New York City duo, Beau. With melodic electric guitar riffs and 90s-inspired drums, the song explores themes of desire, control and self-worth. “What are you doing to me / Holding onto nothing / You go as you please, you go as you please / Make me want to want you,” the band croons. The official video, directed by Charles Billot, was shot in one take to capture the carefree, authentic nature of a live jam session. “What Are You Doing To Me” can be found on Beau’s latest 8-track album, Girl Cried Wolf, which was released Oct. 8, 2024 and has garnered thousands of streams.

3. “Dopamine” – Kevian Kraemer

A glimpse into the intricacies of inconsistent, half-hearted relationships, Kevian Kraemer‘s “Dopamine” sheds light on the thrills of loving someone despite their toxicity. Amidst acoustic guitar and strong indie pop instrumentals, the 18-year-old New Jersey-based songwriter shares, “‘Dopamine’ hits on the internal struggle of putting your pride and morals to the side when you’re not being treated the way you should be, yet staying hopeful that the situation works out.” 2024 proves to be monumental for Kraemer: from the release of his debut EP Seventeen, to the success of “Attention,” to joining Landon Conrath on the employee of the year‘ tour,

4. “Country” – Penny and Sparrow

“Country,” the latest single by Texan folk duo Penny and Sparrow, is a soft reminder of early August evenings spent frolicking in empty fields. The raw acoustics and indie-esque eccentricities drape a blanket of nostalgia across listeners worldwide. The accompanying visualizer for the piece is shot through an old school camcorder lens and finds the duo traveling, setting up camp and overall seemingly living life to its fullest. “Country” acts as the preview to Penny and Sparrow’s up and coming album, Lefty, set to be released Jan. 31, 2025. The 20-track project is a conglomeration of the duo’s creative spirit, with everything from poetry to true stories, to dream scenarios and saloon conversations.

“We wanted to hold genre lightly and take a less curated approach to Lefty, so we followed our noses and made every song we wanted along the way,” the band says. ” . . . All of them belong together because each one is an extension of us, of the things we love. We are the ties that bind Lefty.”

5. “Nervous System” – Taylor Acorn

Closing out Thursday’s selection is “Nervous System,” a jam-packed indie rock single by Taylor Acorn that delves into the ways one’s body changes when love is in the air. “You must have tapped into my nervous system / How’d you go blur my vision?” Acorn ponders. Her presence in the pop punk scene continues to be a driving force for many, offering fans the opportunity to feel safe and accepted within her songs. Her newest album, Survival in Motion, is composed of ten songs and has received support from The Noise, Rock Sound and Alternative Press. Acorn just started her fall tour, which includes performances with Dashboard Confessional and Boys Like Girls. More information on tickets can be found here.
