The hype for Coachella, one of the most massive festivals of the year, just leveled up in excitement! This year festival organizers have a big surprise in store for attendees, particularly those with a love for dance music. Introducing, Quasar – the revolutionary stage dedicated exclusively to marathon sets from electronic artists.

This bold move marks a significant departure from Coachella‘s traditional lineup structure, as Quasar is designed to showcase extended 3+ hour sets. These sets primarily feature B2B performances from electronic artists who were initially absent from the festival’s original roster.

Weekend One

Get ready for double the fun as Coachella announces lineups for both weekends of the festival! Weekend one will kick off the fun on Friday, April 12th with Honey Dijon playing b2b with Green Velvet. The excitement continues on Saturday April 13th, with Solid Grooves founder Michael Bibi’s highly-anticipated return to the desert. The excitement at Quasar doesn’t stop there. Wrapping up the jam-packed weekend on Sunday April 13th, is a killer b3b from Jamie xx, Floating Points, and Daphni.

Weekend Two

Weekend two is just as electric as weekend one. On Friday, April 19th, prepare to be blown away by Rüfüs du Sol as they kick off the weekend with a killer DJ set. The bar will be set high for the days ahead. Saturday features a b2b performance from Prydz and Anyma. As the weekend reaches its climax, Diplo and Mau P deliver a high-octane finale with a b2b on Sunday, April 21st. With such an unforgettable lineup, Coachella’s second weekend is guaranteed to be one for the books!

Quasar will truly be an experience. On a video shared to Coachella’s Instagram, Goldenvoice’s Executive Vice President, Jenn Yacoubian states:

We’re looking at it as a traditional kind of DJ stage. The thinking was that we wanted people to see a longer format DJ set.”

The video includes an inside scoop of how the new stage will look. Taking the spot of the beloved Sahara tent, Quasar will be installed. The stage consists of two LED monoliths, hosting all artists in the middle. With Quasar, Coachella is poised to redefine the electronic music experience.

Excitement for Coachella is at an all-time high. Passes for Weekend One have officially sold out. But fear not, the party isn’t over yet because passes for Weekend Two are still available for those eager to experience the festival in all its glory. However, if you’re absolutely dying to be part of the action for Weekend One, don’t worry! You can still join the waitlist for a chance to snag those coveted passes.

Which weekend are you most excited for?
