Kali Hits The Bay Area With “Area Codes – 415 Remix” Featuring Lil Kayla

Atlanta rapper Kali is back with another remix of her viral hit “Area Codes”! Enlisting Bay Area rising star Lil Kayla, the two have released the official “415 Remix” of the single. The new remix, based on the area code of San Francisco, California, brings us to the West Coast for yet another smash hit.

The “415 Remix” is officially the second remix of Kali’s single, with the first being the “718 Remix” featuring Kenzo B from New York. These regional remixes are collaborations between Kali and female artists across the U.S., living up to the lyrics that she does, in fact, have people in different area codes.

San Francisco native Lil Kayla adds a great verse to the short song, referencing boys from New York and Chicago, adding them to the boys on her roster. Lil Kayla and Kali’s voices match each other smoothly, making this the perfect collaboration. The empowering new single has the same sentiment as Coi Leray’s “Players”: that girls can be players too! Kali and Lil Kayla switch up societal standards with the new remix, letting women own their sexualities in the same way that men do.

Kali has been releasing hit after hit, with “MMM MMM” going viral on TikTok in 2021 and now “Area Codes” blowing up on the platform. The original TikTok sound has over 10 million streams in the U.S. alone and has been featured on Spotify’s Top 50 Viral Hits playlist. Kali was also deemed “Rap’s Next ‘It’ Girl” by Hot New Hip Hop and featured on New Music Daily Radio with Zane Lowe.

The music video for “Area Codes” has also received a lot of attention, with almost 4 million views on YouTube, and shows just how many boys she has on her roster. You can watch the music video below!
