Tallulah Guard Drops Latest Alt-Pop Single, “Burn”

Fans of indie and alt-pop will love Tallulah Guard’s latest single, “Burn.” With a hypnotic beat, relatable lyrics, and a captivating vocal performance, “Burn” will draw in any listener.

The song begins with a heavy strumming accompanied by the clacking of drumsticks, creating an exciting tension juxtaposing Tallulah’s vocals. It continues to build throughout the track, alongside the harmonies and growing strength behind Tallulah’s vocal performance.

The lyrics for “Burn” showcase Tallulah’s vulnerability as they continue to fight against their fear. This feeling is shown in the repetition of the lines, “Just cause it feels like fire/ Doesn’t mean it’s gonna burn,” in both the chorus and the climax of the track.

Tallulah further explains the meaning behind the song,

“I wrote ‘Burn’ about the feeling of seeing danger where there is none. It’s about trying to unlearn my misfiring instincts but tripping myself up again and again.”

Anyone struggling with being overwhelmed by their fears and anxieties, who love artists such as Dodie and Orla Garland, must immediately add “Burn” to their playlists.

Listen to “Burn” below:

Born and raised in West London, Tallulah started posting singing videos on Instagram and YouTube at just 14 years old. Between 16 and 18, they took any opportunity to perform in public to develop their performance style. In 2019, Tallulah moved to Manchester, threw themselves into doing open mics community, and released their debut single, “Just You Wait.” 2020 found the artist quietly experimenting with different genres during the lockdown as they continued their musical growth. Then, in 2021, Tallulah returned to the open mic circuit and wrote “Pressing on a Bruise,” which came out in late 2022.

Along with the release of “Burn,” Tallulah is putting on live performances to celebrate the new single. On April 29th, they’ll be performing in Manchester at the Handlebar. To keep up with Tallulah Guard’s music, follow them on YouTube and Instagram. Listen to their other singles, “Just You Wait,” and “Pressing on a Bruise,” below:
