Wodan Boys Are Back With New Single “Thunder Glove”

Heavy guitar riffs, crashing drums, and giant bursts of energy come together in the Wodan Boys’ latest single, “Thunder Glove.” 

Like their previous single, “Bells,” “Thunder Glove” tells the story of a character facing personal struggles. In this particular track, Rebel Billy Thunder Glove is facing an ever-dreaded mid-life crisis. The listener hears about Rebel Billy Thunder Glove during his prime and seemingly doesn’t grasp that he is actually “past his prime.”

In addition to an instrumental heavy with the spirit of rock, the song’s lyrics are delivered with an aggressive shouting vocal, capturing the struggles of realizing one is beyond their youthful years. The combative nature of the vocal performance brings an edge to this track that crosses between alternative and punk rock.

“[You’re] Stuck in a conversation with someone who can’t accept he’s over his prime in life. Wodan Boys at least made it a danceable rock-banger so you’ll enjoy listening to the main man himself: Rebel Billy Thunder Glove. We all know him, are him or deny that he has ever existed.”

Even with the less-than-fun story of Rebel Billy Thunder Glove, the Wodan Boys brought together a high-energy instrumental paired with aggressive vocals in “Thunder Glove” to create a track that can pump anyone up.

Based in the Netherlands, The Wodan Boys released their first EP, Wodan Boys I, in 2021 and dropped their second EP last year.
