Tom Morello Supports Farm Workers at the California Capitol

On Wednesday, September 22nd, Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine made an appearance at Sacramento’s Capitol Building in support with farm workers making waves toward the state’s Assembly Bill 2183.

The guitarist united with the people in the crowd for an intimate performance that set the tone for the afternoon in town as audience members sang along with him in unison, and his voice carried effortlessly through the growing crowd. Rage Against the Machine is a group known for actively engaging in political discussion, including with their music, so it’s no surprise to see his boots on the ground, fighting for something he believes in to make a change.

And that, too, is the power in music. It can unite all walks of life into a moment of song and dance. Nothing spoke for this more than when Morello led the audience through Woody Guthrie’s “This Land Is Your Land” and was met with loud cheer, before leaving the crowd to continue the rally throughout the afternoon.

Stay tuned for more updates about Tom Morello!
