Little Napier’s “Daylight Savings” cultivates a lush, indietronica space

An experimental collection of sound begins Little Napier’s newest track “Daylight Savings”, an ethereal walk through a forest full of lightning bugs and owls with eyes aglow, your heart heavy. This is the sonic landscape created throughout “Daylight Savings,” a genre-splicing track rooted in a heartfelt, singer-songwriter melody. With an acoustic guitar, Little Napier leaps into their track headfirst, confessing infatuation with their own vivid dreams of waking up next to a person, and the regret inside that their reality doesn’t match those persistent thoughts.

Singer Niall White croons “I wish we could just start a new” amidst the layered indietronica soundscape, affirming his overflowing desire to begin again. “Daylight Savings” is the first single off Little Napier’s upcoming sophomore EP “Hope In Hibernation”, which will be released later in 2022 as a deluxe EP in combination with the band’s 2020 EP “After All.

Born out of Sydney, “Australia’s new spiritual home of live music” The Botany View Hotel, Little Napier has personalized their distinctive independent sound with the help of EDM specialized producer Scott Blackstock. Scott himself spent a lot of time on the trap scene in Toronto and has since been working closely with Little Napier’s singer Niall White to craft a sound that blends “the raw and natural feeling of the past with future soundscapes.” Each track on the upcoming EP “Hope In Hibernation” has its own unique atmosphere, transporting the listener to alternate timelines where contemporary sounds are loaded with ’90s nostalgia.

With a broadness of influences ranging from Elliot Smith to The Prodigy, Little Napier’s new EP “Hope In Hibernation” is ready to make its own space in Australian music in 2022. Listen to “Daylight Savings” below!
