Experience a “Rebound Effect” with Vaquelin’s Newest Alt-Rock Single

Four-piece band Vaquelin may have just released their second official single, but they’re already proving their place within the airwaves of alternative rock. Bandmates Adrian Boudry, Callum Scott, Luca Vieira, and Jack Stephenson formed the Yorkshire rock band in 2019 and are curently working on their first 13-track album, titled Where Dreams Hurt, coming in 2022. Following up on their first single, “Voice Cracks & Blackjacks,” the band recently released “Rebound Effect,” which has a strong focus on lyrical content.

With main guitar riffs heavily inspired by Red Hot Chili Peppers, “Rebound Effect” has a pretty in-your-face mixing style with modern pop-punk tendencies. Smooth-toned vocals float above a calm instrumental during the introductory minute in a manner that seems to reflect the distant mood set by the lyrics. With a repetition of the color red within the lines, the track’s momentum begins to pick up as the imagery creates some faint, but familiar, feeling that gives way to a soaring chorus. As the track continues, it becomes increasingly apparent that the evoked feeling is one that many of us are familiar with – being caught up in the essence of someone whose importance begins to fade. The passionate vocals and resounding rock production beckon listeners to find a place for Vaquelin within their regular library.
