An all-woman pop indie band, The Aces, released new sapphic escapism album “Gold Star Baby” via SoundOn. In addition to the album the band thrilled fans with a new single “You Got Me” and excited them even more with the announcement of upcoming tour dates.
“Gold Star Baby” is a perfect vibe that fills the void of powerful pop rhythms and lyrics that we haven’t had the pleasure to savor since the Pussycat Dolls and Spice Girls. The album is filled with flirty electric glam that draws you in and provides just the right amount of glittery mirage of escapism for a marvelous night out.

The whole album, and the newest released single “You Got Me” is confident and catchy. It leaves the listener unable to resist the urge to sing along, which let’s be honest, every song should achieve. And “You Got Me” does just that.
“This song is about that short and sweet period of time when you realize you’re in love but you’re not sure how to tell them. We wanted it to sound like the feeling of falling in love; warm, shimmery, bouncy and a little bit of nerves.”
– The Aces
In addition to the album release and the new single, The Aces teased their fans with the announcement of tour dates. Fans can catch the band live at the All Things Go Festival this upcoming September in New York and Washington D.C. Additionally, the dates of their “Gold Star Baby” world tour can be found here.
The Aces continue to surprise fans and reach new heights in the pop music world. If these newest and their previous music releases, like Jealous are an indication of their greatness then there’s no doubt the band is becoming one of the genre’s most exciting and authentic voices.
