The founders of Imagine Music Festival also took some time to sit down with us and share some insight on how it’s possible for Imagine Music Festival to even compete with last year’s event. Check out their responses below:
-
When did you begin the process of Imagine Festival 2019? For example, booking it, setting it up, and thinking about it. This is very much a year round process at this point. And while we are still fine tuning the details for 2019 and have some upcoming announcements for this year, we are already working on 2020 and 2021.
-
What would you say is key to booking great artists? Imagine is a festival that prides ourselves on listening to our fans. Asking a lot of different demographics what they like the most or what is on their radar allows for a more diverse and complete lineup. There will always be fan favorites that we know we need to book, but it is also about staying relevant and being able to predict what is hot or about to be.
-
What do you attribute to the standing success of Imagine Festival over the years, making it a destination festival? Appreciating every one of our guests and paying close attention to their needs and requests. We are certainly not perfect, but strive to make every experience as close to perfection as we can. We strive for 100% customer satisfaction and count on everyone coming back with all of their friends and family. Our percentage of return guests is extremely high, which goes back to listening to our fans and addressing any concerns.
-
How will Imagine Festival 2019 differ from 2018? What can fans expect to take their experience up a notch? BIGGER, BETTER, MORE. Bigger pool, bigger sound, more lasers, more free water fill stations, bigger and better stage designs, more engaging art, more transformational workshops, more bathroom facilities, tankless hot water heaters at the shower houses for endless hot water, little to no lines, more beautiful memories to last a lifetime.
-
Can you share any of your best “unseen” Imagine Festival memories? Maddy and I do work a lot, but every once in a while we get to appreciate the magic. What moves us the most is walking around and seeing everyone’s personal experiences, much more than the production itself. The sincere smiles, and the deep laughter we hear, see, and feel are invaluable to us and what gives us the motivation to work tirelessly to make everyone’s experience as beautiful as possible. These are the moments that bring tears to our eyes and fulfillment to our hearts.

What would you say makes Imagine so unique compared to other festivals? We are one of the rare independent festivals still out there and I think our guests can tell the difference. We love our guests and consider them family. We pay attention to every detail and the festival was built and is grown from their perspective. I think this organic feel helps to create a vibe and energy unmatched by other corporate events.

Who are you most excited to see at this year’s festival? We get asked this often and I would say we are excited about the entire lineup. Each year we try to outdo previous years, which continues to be more of a challenge. We always suggest everyone to explore all of the stages, even if they have not heard of the artist previously. Imagine is a great opportunity to open your heart, mind, and ears to all new sights, sounds, friends, and family.
