MAJOR LAZER DEBUTS CHROME SPARKS REMIX OF “GET FREE”

Major Lazer debuts a Chrome Sparks remix of their iconic 2012 song “Get Free” featuringAmber Coffman today—listen here.

Of the release Diplo says, “‘Get Free’ is one of our favorite songs we ever made. It’s a Major Lazer classic, the first song that really put us on. We still play it all the time and Amber’s voice is just legendary. We wanted to bring in our friend Chrome Sparks to breathe some new life into it.”

The remix premieres as part of Major Lazer’s career spanning Major Lazer Essentialscompilation released last year. Essentialshighlights Major Lazer’s reach across the globe, and the vast range of their influences and influence to date.

The “Get Free” remix will also be available on this Friday’s extended release of Major Lazer’s classic albums Free the Universe and Peace Is the Mission Extended. The new releases will also include additional remixes that have never before released on DSPs, namely “Be Together,” “Too Original,” “Light It Up” and “Jah No Partial,” plus a brand new remix of “Watch Out For This (Bumaye)” from DJ Maphorisa & DJ Raybel.

With three albums under their belt, the band continues to tour the world over, making the world smaller by making the party bigger. A highly anticipated fourth album is on the way, with much more to come from Major Lazer in 2019.
