The singer-songwriter Wisp graces us with her latest single “Sword.”

With her new song called “Sword,” San Francisco-based singer-songwriter Wisp starts into the first chapter of her new era. Over the years, Wisp used all her creative talent to forge a sound that both pushes the boundaries of rock music and distinctly represent herself through her art – and to great success. Her debut single “Your Face” landed on #10 on the Billboard Hot Hard Rock Songs. This first milestone quickly proved that Wisp’s impact on the rock scene is immediate and powerful.

Further solidifying her position, she performed her live debut in Los Angeles in front of two sold-out crowds of fans who even came wearing homemade merch. Moreover, following her first performances at prestigious festivals such as Lollapalooza, Levitation, Camp Flog Gnaw and Corona Capital, she sold out multiple headline shows across North America, Europe and Asia. Next to a number of other major festivals Wisp is slated to play at, she will support System of a Down in August. Alongside SOAD, Deftones and Avenged Sevenfold, she promises to set the stadiums ablaze.

Wisp’s latest single “Sword” is the first step into her new world, which is only going to expand in the weeks and months ahead. About the song Wisp says,

“‘Sword’ represents the shame and confusion people feel when loved ones hide them from the world. It’s about not having a chance to shine because your partner keeps you in the dark.”

Alongside the single, Wisp released a hauntingly dreamlike music video. Taking us into a world of high medieval fantasy, she beautifully compliments the track with magical visuals. Echoing castle halls, snowy landscapes, white gowns and dreamy scenes immerse us in the music. Throughout the video, she is accompanied by an ominous, silent knight, until she dons the armor herself in the end.
