Hey music lovers! Get ready because Winnetka Bowling League is rolling out on tour this summer, and it’s going to be a blast. The tour kicks off June 25th in Seattle and wraps up on July 23rd in New York City. Celebrating their debut album Sha La La, courtesy of Local Weather MDDN Records. Expect to hear the new tracks alongside your favorite hits from their numerous EPs and singles.
The band dropped a new single, “America In Your 20s “, a taste of the rest of their album.
Matthew Koma, the band’s frontman, has created a tour that blends music and comedy, making it a unique experience. Stand-up comedians will join them on stage in select cities. For those new to the Winnetka Bowling League scene, let’s rewind for a bit.
The band’s origins are rooted in an existential crisis Koma faced. Having grown up on the East Coast hardcore and punk scenes, Koma spent much of his adult life writing songs for pop stars and electronic musicians. But he craved something more personal and authentic. So, in 2018, he decided to start a rock band.
Quickly, the band made a name for themselves with their self-titled EP and viral singles like ‘On the 5,’ ‘CVS,’ and ‘Slow Dances.’ Their debut album Sha La La, takes their sound to the next level. It’s packed with masterful melodies and a timeless rock’n’roll vibe.
So whether you’re revisiting your 20s or just looking for a good time, Winnetka Bowling League’s “Sha La La” tour is the place to be this summer. Grab your tickets now, and get ready to sing, laugh, and maybe shed a tear or two. See you on the road!
