We’re counting down the days until this year’s Aftershock Festival hits Discovery Park. The day-to-day schedule is still to be announced but here are a few acts we have our eye on for this year…

Flyleaf

We caught Lacey Sturm’s set when she was in Roseville earlier this year, but the full band has yet to hit northern California since its reunion. They’ve hit the festival circuit over the last couple of years and will be returning to Northern California for the first time in ten years. One thing’s for sure, we’re ready!

Violent Vira

A rising act in the scene, we discovered this artist thanks to the Aftershock lineup itself, and we’re glad we did. Violent Vira has been in the scene for a few years with a couple of viral hits such as “I Don’t Care” and “Saccharine,” and an album in the works.

Knocked Loose

This band knows how to throw a show, and fans are catching on. Since their Grammy-nominated performance on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Knocked Loose has brought in a bigger crowd than ever before, and deservedly so. Expect some of the most intense mosh pits and walls of death you’ve seen, and a unique presence from the band that makes you feel like you can’t do anything but move to their music.

Imminence

Another act we caught when they were last in the Sacramento area, Imminence brings a unique melodic presence to metalcore with live violins, heavy vocals, and an intensity that can only be sensed live. We’ve been fans for a long while and they’ve finally crossed the pond for select tour and festival dates after anticipations have risen. They’re the next big thing. It’s only a matter of time till the rest of the world catches on.

Bring Me The Horizon

We can’t bring up Aftershock without Bring Me The Horizon. Fan-favorite veterans, they’re at last headlining the main stage. And speaking of live presence, this is something you can’t miss. We caught them the last couple of times they’ve been at this festival and are blown away by their performance every time.

We of course left out many great acts. We’ve attached the full lineup below. Stay tuned to who else we have on our radar by following along during the festival this year.
