V of BTS Releases “TYPE 1” Photobook

V (or Kim Taehyung) of BTS recently released “TYPE 1,” a 224-page personalized photobook for fans to peruse. Extending beyond the pages, several photos from the book are now displayed at global exhibits from July to August, collectively named “ARTSPACE: TYPE 1.” Although this is not V’s first photobook, it is his first time hosting such events for one, building excitement.

The main poster is a simple yet moody black and white image, with V casually leaning against a wood panel wall; shirt off, linens on, and hair catching the breeze. This idyllic moment properly captures his lowkey, carefree attitude. The top section features poetic lyrics from V’s 2019 self-written song “Scenery,” further drawing fans into the photobook’s aesthetic.

I still wonder wonder beautiful story

Still wonder wonder best part

I still wander wander next story

I want to make you mine

“Scenery,” V

To both assert his style and emphasize his connection to ARMY, V enthusiastically integrated himself in the formation of “TYPE 1,” with a hand in everything from the travel destination, to the title, to the components. As fans explore each chapter, they will gain a new understanding of V as an artist and a person pre-military enlistment, enhanced by collectible components that reflect the aura and message of the photobook.

As mentioned, immersive in-person exhibitions can be visited in Seoul, Bangkok, Taipei, Vancouver, Los Angeles, and Tokyo starting this month, leading into August. “ARTSPACE: TYPE 1” aims to welcome visitors into V’s personally curated, unique world, creating a deeper connection with the work.

“TYPE 1” is now available worldwide, also coming in a softcover, 152-page magazine form on August 6 on Weverse.
