A new chapter begins for Dance Gavin Dance. The band has decided to embark on a new journey by announcing the departure of their longtime vocalist, Tilian Pearson.
Both parties revealed the departure on Instagram. Dance Gavin Dance leaves Pearson with nothing but good vibes for his future plans. Noting the big change, the band stated:
We wish him luck, along with our support and respect for his future endeavors in music and life. We thank him for his years of friendship and contribution during his time in Dance Gavin Dance.
During his time with Dance Gavin Dance, Pearson served as the clean vocalist, stepping into the role in 2013 following Jonny Craig’s departure. Together, Pearson and the band released six albums, contributing to the distinctive sound that fans have come to know and love.
The decision to part ways reportedly stemmed from creative differences, with Pearson expressing gratitude for his time with the band and the friendships he forged.
Pearson affirmed his commitment to music, stating his intention to continue releasing music and pursue his solo project.
