ThxSoMch’s “Crumbled” Music Video Is Dizzyingly Dark

Dark. Edgy. Iconic. ThxSoMch gave us everything we wanted and more with his new single, “Crumbled.”

The Toronto-based alternative indie singer is known for his eerie, arresting tracks. Think of songs like “SPIT IN MY FACE!,” “Keep It Tucked,” and “Hate.” that strengthened ThxSoMch’s reputation for striking songs. His post-punk music is perfect to sing — or scream — along to. And now “Crumbled” is no different.

That’s fine

Just lay it on me

Cut me now

Cuss me out

Burn me down

Last night

You looked so content

That’s why

I crumbled again

~ “Crumbled”

ThxSoMch’s recent release opens with a solid beat that immediately hooks you into this track. His angsty vocal style builds throughout the single until you’re screaming right along to “I crumbled again.” So whether you need a high-energy song to vibe to or something to break down to while processing your emotions, ThxSoMch provides in “Crumbled.”

The song premiered alongside a music video, directed by frequent collaborator Tommy Killjoy. With intentionally shaky camerawork, fast cuts, short clips, and sharp zooms, the music video doesn’t disappoint: It’s overwhelming in the best way possible. The dizzying cinematography encapsulates the single’s passion, from blurred-out faces to bloody hands to nature shots with night vision to a car up in flames. ThxSoMch’s music video has it all; the artistry and storytelling are uncanny.

He’s on the rise, with more than six million Spotify listeners. With such unique music that stirs emotions straight in your chest, of course he has a solid fan base that keeps coming back for more. Listeners are lucky — ThxSoMch just released his debut EP Sleez via Elektra on May 19, an 8-track slew of songs to keep on repeat. Stream it now on all major platforms.

With more on the way from ThxSoMch, it’s best to connect with the singer on Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, and Discord. You won’t regret it.
