Showing Teeth’s founder and vocalist knows exactly what she’s on about.
This isn’t just a lyric from Showing Teeth‘s latest single, “Rip.” I honestly think that this band could very well be metal’s next big icon.
First off, they’re already sharing the stage with Bring Me The Horizon, Motionless in White (watch here), Beartooth, President, and more as they tour around the world; but it’s their sound that truly hits the mark for the next generation of metal. For example, in the band’s debut single, “Labyrinth,” emulates classic deathcore-inspired instrumentals pair with visceral vocals right from the start. The song continues to build until the chorus; and instead of an even heavier breakdown, angelic vocals pour in to sell the song’s message. Their follow-up single, “Rip”- released earlier this year- does much of the same.
Showing Teeth comment on why they formed the project:
I just couldn’t find anyone who was doing the sound I was looking for, so I decided to go at it on my own.
The execution and effect is quite impactful and showcase Showing Teeth as one of the most versatile singer-songwriters in the genre. Thus far, she’s garnered nearly 250k followers on TikTok alone and millions of streams on her music.

I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with Showing Teeth about their journey since her presence online exploded on TikTok, being “anti-banana suit” and pro-creative show costume, vocal techniques, mosh pit zoomies, and more.
