As Seismic Dance Event gears up for a stellar 3 days of house and techno at The Concourse Project, a unique venue in Austin, TX, festival organizers have announced a couple of sustainability initiatives as part of their commitment to a greener music industry. In partnership with Bye Bye Plastic Foundation, they will be making Seismic Dance Event a single-use plastic-free event!

To celebrate this commitment, they are hosting a giveaway for two sustainable travel kits for your next festival adventure! The kits, a $135 value, contain a travel pouch, collapsible cup, mask, toothbrush, and many more. Winners will be selected tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 12th, at 12 PM. You can find details to enter below.

The festival is also partnering with CupZero, a sustainability company promoting the circular economy by providing reusable solutions that completely eliminate single-use waste, focusing on one cup at a time. Attendees will be able to put down a $2 cup deposit on their first drink, then refill/swap the cup for a new drink, and return the cup to the bar to collect the deposit.

Billfold GIVE is also being introduced. This provides an opportunity for attendees to donate back to the Earth by rounding their purchases to the nearest dollar. All proceeds will go towards Bye Bye Plastic.

If you’re attending the festival this weekend, be sure to take part in these great initiatives! Festivals are fun, but they wouldn’t exist without the beautiful planet we call home, so we can each do our part to take care of Mother Earth.
