RemK Says Summer Has Begun With New Single “Beach Day”

As the weather begins to warm locals start flocking to the beach, sneakers get exchanged for Birkenstocks or flip flops, and the vibes are hard to match. Long Beach native RemK’s new single “Beach Day” somehow captures this exact energy. A combination of synth and electronic melody and a solid beat, “Beach Day” is the perfect opener for a high-energy summer.
As a born and raised Californian and surfer himself, RemK is the perfect artist to master the SoCal vibe. This song specifically shows the duality of a perfect summer day and night. Beginning with lighter sounds and an upbeat horn cutting through the dance beat, the song begins to evolve into a more intense trap beat reminiscent of a night at a beach club. RemK has mastered the ideal summer day, with the song exhibiting a simultaneous versatility from day to night, beach to club, and anything in between.
“Beach Day” was released alongside “Thought Spiral,” another single from RemK that takes a different approach to the summer spirit. “Thought Spiral” has a distinctly more melancholy sound than “Beach Day,” harking back to childhood memories and combining with an intense overlaid synth that is both invigorating and domineering compared to the other single. Together, the two work off of each other well, playing into their differences to create a well-rounded duo perfect for any dance or club goer.
