It has officially been two months since the iconic Barbie movie was released in theaters. The video starts with a pink car, understandably, as the song is called “Speed Drive”. Charli XCX is seen in the passenger seat with a fluffy pink and white boa as she sings the song’s first verses. Suddenly, as she gets out of the car, her phone rings. She answers, and it’s Sam Smith! The surprise appearance jolts the watchers into reality, where the music video disperses the fourth wall and shows the set crew “recording” the music video. As soon as the video call hangs up, Charli is seen in the middle of the same pink car, which is driving circles around her. The video is chaotic but equally as iconic. Charli sings her verse with her pink hat, dancing around the car and going in circles. Soon, a flaming tire enters the main view and adds more chaos. Charli continues dancing and singing, balancing the temped song with the visualizing background.
