#NMF Dance: Our Picks For The Week

NMF Dance brings new music from Wax Motif, Le Sserafim, The Chainsmokers and more!

1. Wax Motif & Maeta – “You Forget”

Wax Motif returns with ‘You Forget,’ a smooth, late-night single featuring Maeta. As the second release from House of Wax II, the track leans further into his cross-genre instinct, where house, R&B, and hip-hop start to blur at the edges. ‘You Forget’ features minimal percussion, warm bass, and Maeta’s emotionally direct vocals; it trades big drops for atmosphere, letting tension unfold slowly. As a result, it’s a more understated kind of energy—subtle, intimate, and built to pull a room in rather than break it open.

2. The Chainsmokers – “Already Know” ft. Oaks

The Chainsmokers reunite with Oaks on ‘Already Know.’ This bright, melodic single continues their renewed creative flow. With warm synths, driving momentum, and Oaks’ airy vocals, ‘Already Know’ feels nostalgic without being stuck in the past. Instead, it turns that familiar Chainsmokers feeling into something refreshed, made to be played loud and shared in a crowd.

3. Le Sserafim – “CELEBRATION”

LE SSERAFIM drops ‘CELEBRATION,’ a bold, high-energy lead single. It is worth mentioning that DJ Softest Hard produced this track alongside Icona Pop, marking a massive crossover moment between K-pop and hard dance. Based on glossy pop textures, sharp electronic momentum, and a celebration-ready pulse, ‘CELEBRATION’ feels made for the stage. Consequently, its hard dance edge builds with explosive energy and a crowd-shaking pulse, making it a true live standout.

4. GHENGAR, CHASSI – “AUTOPSY BUFFET”

GHENGAR teams up with Chassi on ‘AUTOPSY BUFFET,’ a deathcore-infused tearout weapon specially made for pure impact. Leaning fully into GHENGAR’s horror-driven production style, the track opens with a chilling spoken-word intro before snapping into a surge of metal and bass. Depending on jagged drops, rapid drum rolls, distorted guitar, and laser-like synths, ‘AUTOPSY BUFFET’ doesn’t hold back. Instead, it escalates, fast, loud, and relentless, landing with the kind of moshpit-ready chaos and rail-riding energy that feels designed to shock a live crowd.

5. Lane 8, Kasbo & BJOREN – “World Is Mine”

Lane 8 and Kasbo link up for the first time on ‘World Is Mine,’ not only anchoring Lane 8’s ’World Is Mine‘ EP, but also a restrained, emotionally driven collaboration. Sitting at the intersection of both artists’ worlds, the track leans into a soft base, warm textures, and a quiet sense of momentum. Rather than pushing for a heavy drop, it unfolds gradually, turning subtle shifts into its strongest moments. The result is a track that feels just as natural in headphones as it does on the dancefloor.

#NewMusicFriday: Our Picks for the Week

New music from Maisie Peters, Duran Duran, Niall Horan, and more on New Music Friday.

1. Maisie Peters – “Kingmaker” (with Julia Michaels)

Maisie Peters is collaborating with Julia Michaels on ‘Kingmaker,’ a sharp, emotionally vivid duet inspired by Wolf Hall. Presenting as a line-for-line conversation between two girls, the track turns betrayal, power, and female intuition into something intimate and theatrical. ‘Kingmaker’s sharp storytelling and intimate duet structure are perfectly combined with Maisie‘s glossy and bright voice and Julia’s magnetic, husky voice. The duo finally leaves a lasting emotional sting.

2. Duran Duran – “Free to Love” (feat. Nile Rodgers)

Duran Duran returns with ‘Free To Love,’ an uplifting, energetic single surrounding a euphoric groove. Sonically, the track delivers a bright cyber-funk edge—fun, immediate, and ready for parties and the dancefloor. Thematically, it carries a message of freedom, openness, and love in a divided world. Ultimately, ‘Free To Love’ feels like disco for the 2020s, arriving ahead of the band’s performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Wednesday, April 29.

3. MICO – “DREAMBOY”

MICO returns with ‘DREAMBOY,’ the first release from his upcoming debut album. This hyperpop-leaning single shows the gap between perception and reality. Across the track, it follows an online relationship that quickly falls apart in real life. Carried by glitchy production and restless energy, it captures that messy disconnect between who we seem to be and who we are.

4. Matt Hansen – “VISION”

Matt Hansen closes his debut album ‘ORCHID’ with ‘VISION.’ This up-tempo final single turns everyday struggles into something hopeful. Driven by bright momentum, the track pairs naturally with his powerful voice, reflecting the album’s core idea of vulnerability as strength. At the same time, the release also comes ahead of his TV debut on the ‘TODAY Show’ on May 13.

5. Niall Horan – “Little More Time”

Niall Horan releases ‘Little More Time,’ a warm, sunlit standout from Dinner Party and his personal favorite on the project. Musically, it moves like a slow summer noon, soft and golden. Emotionally, it captures the wish to pause time before a moment slips away. In the end, the track turns nostalgia into something tender, easy, and quietly aching.
