NMF Dance: Our Picks For The Week

New dance drops from Blookah, Dr Donk, and more on NMF Dance.

1. Dr Donk – “Phat Summer Vibes”

German producer Dr Donk drops new single “Phat Summer Vibes.”. The track delivers a festival-ready punch, weaving pitched-up R&B-style vocals with deep saw-bass, trap textures, and eerie synths for a high-energy ride. Already a rising force in the hard dance scene with performances at Tomorrowland, Defqon.1, and Rampage, Dr Donk is cementing himself as one to watch.

2. Jauz – “2 Step”

Bay Area-born producer Jauz is back with “2 Step” on his Bite This! imprint, continuing his 2025 hot streak following “Shake Shit Up,” “Rockin’,” and “Lose Control.” Fueled by pixelated synths, a heavy-hitting bassline, and a mid-track switch-up, the frenetic bass house single channels the energy of a ’90s video game soundtrack while showcasing Jauz’s trademark versatility. Landing right in the middle of his Shake Shit Up North American Tour, “2 Step” reaffirms why Apple Music crowned him the “Godfather of Bass House.”

3. Cool Customer – “The M.F.”

Cool Customer is back with his brand-new single “The M.F.” a funky, low-end roller that delivers his unmistakable groove in full force. Fresh off the launch of his Customer Service hotline, the Florida-based producer keeps fans buzzing with a track that’s been well worth the wait.

4. Pirapus – “EVERYNITE”

New Zealand duo Pirapus drops “EVERYNITE,” a peak-time drum & bass weapon that fuses sci-fi atmospherics, jump-up grit, and main-stage euphoria. Anchored by a moody vocal loop, the track surges with serrated bass stabs, soaring synths, and tightly wound rhythms built for maximum dancefloor impact. Fresh off a 16-stop international tour with appearances at Tomorrowland, Rampage, and Beats For Love, Pirapus are rapidly cementing their place as one of drum & bass’ fastest-rising exports.

5. Blookah, Annalisa Fernandez – “Do My Thing”

Denver-based producer Blookah teams up with Australian alt-pop artist Annalisa Fernandez for “Do My Thing,” a deep and intoxicating house cut out now via Lost In Dreams Records. Blending soulful vocals with garage-tinged drums, pulsing basslines, and wavy textures, the track nods to the nostalgia of 2010s UK deep house while adding a seductive modern edge.

Check out new drops from YOASOBI, Black Polish, and more on New Music Friday!

1. Daisy Grenade – “Good Luck (Wish You Hell)”

Brooklyn-based alt-pop duo Daisy Grenade return this Friday with “Good Luck (Wish You Hell),” produced by 2x GRAMMY® nominee WZRD BLD. The track blends the band’s signature punk edge with pop sensibility, delivering a power ballad packed with feminine rage, raw vulnerability, and unforgettable hooks. Following a summer of sold-out shows, festival appearances, and socially conscious pop-ups, “Good Luck (Wish You Hell)” captures Daisy Grenade at the peak of their chaotic, glitter-soaked energy.

2. YOASOBI – “劇上(GEKIJYO)”

J-pop duo YOASOBI return on October 2 with “劇上(GEKIJYO,” the theme song for the Japanese drama series Pray Speak What Has Happened. For the first time, producer Ayase joins vocalist ikura on lead vocals, marking a milestone in the duo’s evolving sound. Crafted to reflect the drama’s narrative, the track fuses YOASOBI’s signature cinematic pop with emotional depth, continuing YOASOBI’s rise as one of Japan’s most influential international acts.

3. Young Miko – “Meiomi”

GRAMMY-nominated global star Young Miko kicks off a new era with her latest single “Meiomi,” an Afrobeats-inspired track exploring desire, freedom, and living in the moment, out now on all streaming platforms. The accompanying music video, co-directed by Miko, creates an intimate, immersive world that perfectly complements the song’s playful yet seductive narrative. With “Meiomi,” Young Miko continues to assert herself as a genre-defying cultural force and an artist in her own lane.

4. Black Polish – “LUSH”

Rising queer indie-alternative artist Black Polish (Jayden Binnix) announces their sophomore album YUNA, alongside the new single and video “LUSH.” The daring concept album explores the alter-ego Yuna, a man-eating succubus, through dark, playful lyrics and ever-shifting sonics, blending alt-metal, electronic, and pop for a cinematic, immersive experience. “LUSH” captures the internal battle between light and shadow, showcasing Black Polish’s knack for emotionally piercing storytelling.

5. Ben Quad – “Painless”

Post-emo band Ben Quad release their new single “Painless” today, along with an introspective music video, ahead of their forthcoming album Wisher. The track explores grief, guilt, and the helplessness felt after losing a close friend, blending 2000s emo-inspired co-vocals, pop sensibility, and the band’s signature post-hardcore guitar lines. Filmed entirely as performance shots, the video highlights a darker, more reflective side of the band compared to their debut single “It’s Just a Title.” “Painless” signals a powerful next chapter for Ben Quad.
