4. “Yesterday’s Hero” – Dean Wareham
In a cathartic blend of soft rock rhythms and electrifying guitar solos, New Zealand-born musician Dean Wareham unveils his new single, “Yesterday’s Hero.” On the song’s meaning, he shares, “I was trying to write a song about these times, leaders who talk peace but pursue war, and about political rebels who are vilified while alive but become (yesterday’s) heroes once they are safely in the grave.” Wareham’s raw, entrancing vocals further emphasize this idea.
