1. “erase u” – flowerovlove

19-year-old London-based pop artist flowerovlove released her latest single, “erase u,” a lovestruck anthem about being so infatuated with someone that you can’t get them out of your mind. The track is lighthearted and upbeat, with lyrics like “You know I’m trying my best to get you out of my head / But I, I, I can’t erase you” sprinkled throughout. Co-written with Skyler Stonestreet (Sabrina Carpenter, Dua Lipa, Justin Bieber) and produced by Russel Chell (Juice WRLD, Tate McRae, Kid Cudi), flowerovlove also unleashed her 6-track EP, “ache in my tooth,” on Oct. 11. Looking ahead, she will make her stateside debut with headline shows at Brooklyn, New York’s Baby’s All Right on Nov. 12 and Los Angeles’ The Moroccan Lounge on Nov. 14. Tickets are available here.

2. “You’ll Be OK, Kid” – Demi Lovato

Grammy-nominated worldwide pop sensation Demi Lovato released her new song, “You’ll Be OK, Kid,” an intimate piece that pays tribute to her childhood. Lovato’s signature powerhouse vocals shine an inspirational light on the past, evoking a sense of nostalgia with hope for the future. The single is taken from her debut directorial documentary, Child Star, which delves into the highs and lows of growing up in the entertainment industry. Featuring former child stars like Drew Barrymore, Kenan Thompson, Christina Ricci and more, the documentary can be streamed on Hulu today.

“The idea of connecting with my younger self through the pain and hardships that came along with child stardom was so important to me,” says Lovato. “I wrote the song as a letter to my inner child, and I hope that it can give others an opportunity to connect with their inner child as well.”

3. “Sweet Delusion” – Bella Poarch

Filipino-American singer-songwriter Bella Poarch released her highly anticipated single, “Sweet Delusion,” a track that centers around that feeling of catching feelings for someone in a relationship that isn’t meant to last. Intimate, reflective and deeply honest, Poarch ponders these thoughts through lyrics like “It’s a fantasy, better than being alone” and “Lose my sanity, and get lost in the smoke.” The accompanying music video illustrates a relationship filled with euphoric, romantic moments, as well as darker, tense ones. Although it is so easy to get wrapped up in the fantasy of loving someone, Poarch’s character reflects the pain of being punched in the gut by reality. Looking ahead, Poarch will be joining Kenia Os on her Pink Aura Tour starting Nov. 15 in New York City.

4. “Him All Along” – Gunna

Four-time GRAMMY Award-nominated, multi-platinum rap artist Gunna unleashed his latest single, “Him All Along.” The new release showcases the 31-year-old Georgia-native’s lyrical finesse, with reflective lyrics flowing through the track’s intricate layers. “They was tryna stunt my growth, / I been steady chasin’ my goals,” Gunna spits. He continues to see success with his May 2024 album, Wun of Dem Nights. Gunna has just finished a selection of one-off show performances honoring this release, starting Oct. 19 in Washington, D.C. and ending this past Nov. 4. in Hollywood, CA.

5. “The Top” – Natalie Jane

Next up is “The Top” by alt pop artist Natalie Jane, an empowering new single that features powerful bass drops, unrelenting synths and driving vocals. “I wrote this about someone who told me to give up on my dreams,” says Jane. “They said i needed a fallback for when this didn’t work out. So I wrote the line, ‘Just watch, I’ll be waving at you from the top.'” The new single can be found in Netflix’s dystopian film, Uglies, and has garnered over one million Spotify streams.
