Here are our daily picks for you featuring Kelly Clarkson, Night Tales, Bella Rios and more!
1. “You For Christmas” – Kelly Clarkson
Three-time GRAMMY Award winner, Texas-born pop sensation Kelly Clarkson has released a brand new song for the holiday season, “You For Christmas.” Co-produced by artist/producer Mark Ronson, the joyful track brims with themes of community and togetherness, reflecting the narrator’s desire for their lover during Christmas. “If Santa has one gift to bring us / I’ll tell him I just want you for Christmas,” sings Clarkson, her mesmerizing vocals evoking a certain sense of powerful longing. “You For Christmas” can be found on Clarkson’s new special deluxe edition album, When Christmas Comes Around… Again, a re-release of her 2021 GRAMMY-nominated ninth studio album.
2. “Numb” – NITTI
“Numb” by GRAMMY award-winning artist NITTI is a hypnotic electronic remix of Linkin Park’s own 2003 “Numb” release. Overflowing with infectious synths and propulsive bass hits, the new song was produced in collaboration with rock vocalist Dakota. It has been dedicated to honor the memory of Linkin Park’s late-frontman, Chester Bennington. “I have always loved Linkin Park and obviously everyone in the world is familiar with the song ‘Numb,’ but I wanted a version I could play at my shows to get everyone going crazy,” said NITTI. “I know after Chester’s passing, it is a touchy song to remix, yet I genuinely am inspired to make more music from people like him and the band. My intention was to put my own spin on their original hit as a thanks to all Chester gave to us fans.”
3. “Sure Thing” – Night Tales
Up next is electronic pop artist Night Tales and their techno house rendition of Miguel’s “Sure Thing.” Hailing from Australia, the duo used their own knowledge of electronic arrangements to immerse listeners in a euphoric soundscape of energy. Waves of rising and falling synths are intertwined with emotional vocals to complement the classiness of the original R&B hit. On the new release, Night Tales says, “Knowing that we could harness the essence of the original version and redress it in layers of euphoric & upbeat electronica, but have the same feeling as its predecessor, is something we truly focused on. This one is perfect for those long drives with the windows down.”
4. “La Niña Latina” – Malóne
Continuing our reign of contagious club anthems is “La Niña Latina” by Cuban-born DJ and producer Malóne. Peppered with hypnotic Spanish vocals, the track invites listeners to lose themselves in the music and embrace the rich fabric of tech beats and synth grooves. “La Niña Latina” was released on Sept. 27, 2024 via Malóne’s own label, WHYNOTUS. It is followed by “Groove Con Clase,” “Contra La Pared” and “Higher (Malóne Remix)”, three collaborative singles that continue the Club Space Miami DJ’s reputation for unleashing electrifying dancefloor tracks.
5. “Options” – Bella Rios
“Options” by Chicago-born, Nashville-based Bella Rios is a pop-rock single that sheds light on the idea that there are many “options,” many potential lovers, out there compared to someone who doesn’t reciprocate the effort. Layered with riveting guitar lines and punchy hooks, the track’s resilient lyricism brings fresh energy to the stage. “I don’t care ’cause I’ve got options / I don’t want to brag but you know / You’re not the only one that can drive me home,” Rios sings. The depths of her vocals bring a vibrant sort of authenticity to the track, inspiring confidence in listeners.
“‘Options’ was inspired by an experience that I feel like almost everyone has obsessed over at one point or another: that one on and off ‘situationship’ that you just can’t seem to drop,” Rios explains. “I actually wrote the song when I realized that they were giving just enough to keep me from looking elsewhere. So while there are definitely nods to some of the terribly toxic and slightly fun moments of that sort of relationship, the song is really about realizing that there’s absolutely no reason to settle for that feeling or treatment – that there truly are SO MANY better options out there. So stop stressing, and let go of that person who just doesn’t seem to want to give you everything you deserve. Oh, and don’t forget, you always have the best option around: yourself.”
