1. “Touching Toes” – Olivia Dean
London-born singer and three-time BRIT Awards nominee Olivia Dean has released her latest heartfelt single, “Touching Toes,” via Capitol Records. The track’s intimate lyricism follows the exciting realization that you’ve genuinely fallen in love with someone. “And I feel love, like the real stuff / You don’t know and then you know / That’s how it goes,” Dean sings, her vibrant vocals weaving in and out of mellow guitar lines. Dean’s rise across the UK music scene and beyond is something to look out for.
2. “GEMINI” – Mild Minds
“GEMINI” by GRAMMY-nominated producer and musician Mild Minds is an infectious new electronic and dance hit. Layered with catchy R&B-esque vocal loops (“You’re the only one I need / Nobody make me feel”) and a variety of radiant synths, the new release brings a touch of soul to the dance floor. “GEMINI” is also the titular track for Mild Minds’ forthcoming sophomore album, GEMINI, which will be released Feb. 21, 2025. The track can be found on Phantoms’ eponymous EP, Perpetual Motion, a 6-track collection that brings the creative freedom of house music back to the main stage.
4. “Soft Rock Band” – Good Morning
Australia-based indie rock duo Good Morning have come out with their latest single, “Soft Rock Band.” Capping at eight minutes and 12 seconds, the song brings a certain depth with its nostalgic guitar lines and atmospheric piano melodies. “I might have seen it all but I know there’s still so much to go,” the band sings.
