The GRAMY-nominated megastar Demi Lovato released her ninth studio album It’s Not That Deep.

Demi Lovato herself might say about her newest album that It’s Not That Deep, but we don’t quite believe that. The GRAMMY-nominated and award-winning musician, actress and New York Times best-selling author is loved by fans worldwide for her iconic onscreen performances, as well as her remarkable voice and phenomenal music. With more than 50 billion global streams and eight studio albums, all of which debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200, number nine just joined the ranks to critical acclaim.

Executive produced by Zhone (Kylie Minogue, Troye Sivan, Kesha), the album brings back Demi’s beloved dance-pop sound that made her previous hit records so special. It’s a call for taking full control while letting go of inhibitions. Leading up to the release of the album, Demi treated us to the seductive and smooth electro-pop lead single “Fast,” the driven and infectious pop anthem “Here All Night” and the enticing fan-demanded track “Kiss.” The latter one being a special song on the album, as it gave the project its name, stemming from the line “It’s not that deep, unless you want it to be.”

About her latest victory, Demi says,

This album represents an exciting chapter for me which has been filled with joy, freedom and lightness. Creating this album was the most fun I’ve ever had in the studio. Zhone is an incredible collaborator and it was so effortless working together to create a genuinely fun, celebratory album that is true to where I am now. It’s Not That Deep is about letting go of inhibitions and bringing out the carefree energy that lives in all of us and makes us want to dance all night long. I’m so excited for you all to finally dance with me.

Rolling Stone ranks It’s Not That Deep as her highest reviewed album yet, calling it “a victory lap … she leans into playful synths, club-ready energy and free-flowing sonics that live up to the album’s title.” Demi celebrated the release of her album with a one night only, special performance at the Hollywood Palladium, which sold out in a matter of minutes. This high demand quickly prompted widespread demand for a tour. And a tour we shall get.
