Award-winning artist and producer Ben Böhmer dropped his latest single “Faithless,” in the lead up to his third studio album Bloom.
Having made a name for himself in the house- and techno scene, “Faithless” seems to be a strong departure from the genre, Ben Böhmer calls his home. Collaborating with the UK-based artist Erin LeCount and letting his incredible talent as a composer and songwriter shine, “Faithless” takes an elegant stride into the soundscapes of indie and pop. Together with LeCount’s heavenly vocals, Ben’s impeccable production, the song takes us on a dreamlike journey.
The poignant nature of the track tells the story of a bittersweet almost. It gives us a perspective of self-sabotage, running away from love before it can blossom and the uncertainty of whom we can feel at home with.
About the collaboration, Erin LeCount tells us,
“‘Faithless’ really came together in a case of divine timing – I was in the right place at the right time when I heard the instrumental, and Ben’s production is such a beautiful soundscape that it was so natural to write for. I wrote the lyrics about a cycle of self-sabotage in wanting to love someone and then leaving the minute things get good – reminiscing and regretting it every time but being unable to stay anywhere too long.”
