Aftershock, the West Coast’s Largest Rock, Punk & Metal Festival, returns to Discovery Park Thursday, October 1 through Sunday, October 4 for a massive four-day event featuring more than 140 bands on five stages; the festival’s biggest lineup to date at a newly expanded site.
First off; Aftershock will take place at Discovery Park from October 1-4. The last tier of tickets are still available here. We’ve written out this article to help you plan out a few logistics, as they change every year. If you want just a few quick tips, watch our video we made.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS
- Festival gates will open daily at 11am daily

- You can bring one factory-sealed water bottle or an empty reusable bottle to refill throughout the day at the hydration stations. Just make sure the bottle is not glass or metal.
- Pay with your wristband, card, or digital wallet (Apple/Google Pay) inside the music festival grounds.
- Lockers are available onsite to keep your belongings safe during the festival.
- Festival re-entry is not permitted unless you are camping on-site or purchased a Jampack hotel package.
WRISTBAND REGISTRATION
Register your wristband(s) to use it as a cashless payment method. Find your 8-digit ID on the back of the saddle (RFID chip) and register here.

TRANSPORTATION
Reminder: Festival parking is not available within Discovery Park during Aftershock. In an effort to limit the number of vehicles around the festival, please consider the transportation options below.
Park & Ride Shuttle
The most convenient way to get to Discovery Park is to use the Park & Ride Shuttle program picking up and dropping off at Cal Expo, located at 1600 Exposition Blvd in Sacramento. Each Park & Ride Shuttle Pass includes free parking for your vehicle at Cal Expo and a nonstop shuttle to and from the festival site.
On festival days, shuttles will begin service approximately 60 minutes prior to the gate opening time. Shuttles will run continuously throughout the day with limited service between 5:30pm-8:30pm on Thursday and Sunday, and 6:30pm-9:30pm on Friday and Saturday. Shuttles will run approximately 75 minutes after the end of the festival each night.
Note: Accessible shuttle services will be available at all times throughout the event for paid shuttle pass holders.
Park & Ride Shuttle Passes are sold daily and for the weekend. Each shuttle rider needs their own pass for all rides. A 4-Day Shuttle Pass is $160. Buy a Park & Ride Shuttle Pass here.
Limited Paid Parking
Walk-in parking lots are accessible via the intersections of Truxel Road & Mill Creek Drive or West El Camino Avenue & Natomas Park Drive, and are approximately a 20 minute walk to the festival. All lots will open at 10am daily and are available in advance and day of show until sold out. The festival does not manage any of these lots. All parking is at your own risk. Overnight parking is prohibited.
SacRT Light Rail
SacRT is a convenient way to travel to and from downtown Sacramento and catch buses to Aftershock. SacRT will provide supplemental bus service for fans from downtown (8th and K) to Discovery Park, with drop-off on Jibboom Street near ARCO. Fans can enter the festival via the Jibboom Street bridge. Return buses will depart from the same spot, with the last bus leaving about an hour after the concert ends each night.
For those riding bikes, Sac RT buses and light rail vehicles feature designated spaces where you can safely secure your bike while you ride. SacRT buses can hold 3 bikes while trains can handle 4 bikes per car (2 at either end). Scooters and wagons however are not allowed on SacRT buses or trains.

RIDESHARE
Rideshare/Taxi pick-up and drop-off is available on both sides of the festival site. Please make sure you’re exiting on the correct side of the park at the end of the night!
● Jibboom St. Pick-Up Zone (Main Festival Rideshare Zone): The Jibboom St. Pick-Up Zone is located on the south side of Discovery Park, across the Jibboom St. Bridge. Exit the venue on the Jibboom St. side and cross the bridge. At the end of the bridge, follow the bike path under the I-5 overpass to your left. The rideshare zone will be shortly up the path on your right, near 500 Bercut Dr.
● Garden Hwy Pick-Up Zone (Secondary Festival Rideshare Zone): The Garden Hwy Pick-Up Zone is located on the north side of Discovery Park, on W. El Camino Ave (between Natomas Park Dr and Millcreek Rd). Exit the venue on the Garden Hwy side and walk along Natomas Park Dr to W. El Camino Ave, then turn right on W. El Camino
Ave. The rideshare zone will be on the right.
BIKING
Aftershock has again partnered with Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates to provide a complimentary bike valet onsite at Aftershock, located outside both the Garden Highway and Jibboom St entrances. The bike valet will accept all non-gas powered micro-mobility vehicles including bikes, skateboards and scooters, and will be monitored each day of the festival until 1 hour after closing. If you choose to “self-park” your bike, it is at your own risk. The bike valet will open approximately 90 minutes prior to gate opening time each day.
PLEASE NOTE that the Jedediah Smith Memorial Trail / American River Bike Trail through Discovery Park will be closed from 11:59PM on Wednesday, September 30th until 5:00AM on Monday, October 5th. The bike valet locations outside both entrances to the festival will be as far as bikes are allowed to enter into Discovery Park.
ADA/ACCESSIBLE PARKING
NEW LOCATION FOR 2026! Limited parking for patrons with disabilities will be available at the event, for $50 per day (card only). Please follow the signage and the direction of festival staff and police to access this parking area. Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis in the Archery Lot. Fans parked in the accessible parking lot (Archery Lot) will enter the festival through Garden Highway entrance.
Hours: Thursday – Sunday- 10:00AM – 12:00AM
Parking Rules:
● A valid government-issued accessible placard or plate is required to park in accessible parking. ID must match the placard holder. Misuse may result in denied access.
● Overnight parking is not permitted. All vehicles must exit the parking lots or will be towed if left overnight.
Please Note: Due to the egress of patrons at the end of the event, vehicles parked in the accessible lot will be held in place until the pedestrian traffic has cleared. This can be as long as 45 minutes after the end of the festival. No exceptions are made to exit so please plan accordingly if you park in the accessible parking lot.
