A Day To Remember – Saint Louis Music Park – @originalvisualphoto

A Day To Remember‘s “The Least Anticipated Album Tour” is off to a rocking start and has already made for a strong return to live performances from them. This tour marks their first U.S. tour in over a year and includes stops at various arenas and amphitheaters across the nation. Featuring opening acts such as The Story So Far, Four Year Strong, Militarie Gun, Pain of Truth, and Scowl on select dates. We had the pleasure of attending the show in St. Louis Music Park and we had an incredible time, check out our thoughts below!

We have plenty of prior experience with a few of these openers, but bands such as Four Year Strong continue to put on performances to show why they are still one of the top live bands in the pop punk scene. From start to finish they engaged the crowd with their high octane sound and we could really tell just how much they enjoyed being there with us. Their set included newer tracks such as “Brain Pain” and some of our favorite classics “It Must Really Suck to Be Four Year Strong Right Now” and “Wasting Time (Eternal Summer)“. Things got particularly wild during “Wasting Time“, so much that the moment reminded us of some of the times we watched them on Warped Tour years ago. Four Year Strong felt the like the perfect opener for what was set to be a long and enjoyable night of performances.

The next act up was The Story So Far, and while there was a distinct change of energy from Four Year Strong, these guys did just as a wonderful job at captivating the crowd. From the moment Parker Cannon took the stage and softly stated “Hey. We’re The Story So Far.” the crowd was with them until the end. This was another set that featured a strong emphasis on newer music, so when they went to classics such as “High Regard” and “Roam” the energy in Saint Louis Music Park reached new heights. At this point in the show fans started to crowd surf which felt like it lifted the energy from the bands as well, as they were high fiving the fans who participated as they rushed back to the crowd. By the end of the set, The Story So Far had brought the energy level right up to where it needed to be before A Day To Remember took the stage.

A Day To Remember absolutely exceeded expectations when it came to closing out the show. Playing no less than twenty songs, this set was a journey that included tracks all the way from the For Those Who Have Heart era to their latest release “Feedback“. If you have attended an ADTR show in the past, you know what to expect when it comes to the level of production they bring. It had been multiple years since we last saw them live so there was sudden shock when confetti cannons began to fire on the first song. After that though, everything came right back.

After the first few songs were out of the way, front man Jeremy McKinnon asked why he hasn’t seen many crowd surfers yet and shortly after that, chaos ensued. Attendees begun to not only crowd surf, but crowd surf on top of one another if one can imagine what that looks like. This set included many others special moments (such as beach balls and toilet paper being launched into the crowd for fans to toss back), but our favorite moment came when the band did their cover of “Since U Been Gone“, a track they have not performed live since 2019 tour dates. A Day To Remember always pull out all the stops for making their concerts memorable and that did not change at all for this tour.

Final Thoughts

This tour is something that the everybody involved with putting on can be proud of. For the headliner, this tour picked up right where they left off in the levels of entertainment and production. The openers all played their part in warming up the stage for the following band, and of course, A Day To Remember. It is also worth pointing out how much we love this venue. The music park does a wonderful job in elevating concerts to give them a real important and almost a festival feel. Everything about this concert was excellent from start to finish.

The Least Anticipated Album Tour will be running for a good duration of the summer, so be sure to check out dates here to see if you stops near you!

Hi! My name is Josh and I have been attending concerts and festivals of all kinds for over a decade. While I can appreciate all music in some capacity, my true passion lies within various subgenres of metal, edm, and kpop. Late fall of 2022 I decided I wanted to be better about documenting some of those experiences. So what better way than to pick up a camera and start capturing some content to share with the world? The journey has been fun thus far, and I can't wait to see what things I will have to share for you as it continues. I hope we cross paths at a show soon!
