A Picture Paints A Thousand Stories In Zaydo X ZAYE’s ‘Monalisa’

Art in all its faces including music is subjective. Simply put, much like the old adage “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”. What looks great to one, might look appalling or unappealing to the next and so on. That’s how it is and artists are well aware of that. Despite knowing this, they still continue to create and dedicate their entire beings to their craft. Not because they seek to please others (oh no no no), but rather express theirselves in the way they know best.

Like a classical painting on display at the Louvre, Zaydo x ZAYE mesmerizes us with their song entitled ‘Monalisa’. Released last September 29th in all major streaming platforms worldwide. Zaydo x ZAYE’s ‘Monalisa’ is a relaxingly colorful track that tells the tale of fleeting beauty. How someone found something or someone so perfect only to melt like an ice cube in their hands. As the movie goes, “Gone With The Wind” never to be heard of again. Think Leonardo da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa” that’s been stolen, but this time make it permanently gone. Ah such bittersweet agony! You had it, you lost it.

A smile that can set sail to a thousand ships, Zaydo x ZAYE’s ‘Monalisa’ is a pop rock tune with ethereal vocals and instrumentals. It’s a love song with unique twists and turns that leaves us wondering how something magical could turn into a curse instantaneously. Moreover it begs to question our own perspective on perfection. Do we go on that odyssey in search for it knowing well that it’s nearly impossible? Or do we embrace the imperfections and instead see the good in everything?

Crazy about Zaydo? Then go ahead and give him a follow on his official BandCamp, and YouTube accounts for more refreshing content. Don’t forget to share the love with ZAYE and give them a follow on their Insta, Twitter, and YouTube.

Happy October folks!
