MISSIO recently concluded their tour throughout the United States in celebration of their release of latest album, I Am Cinco. See our full review of their performance, linked here.
The Texas-based duo has brilliantly captured the essence of the human experience. In a creative escape to Mexico City, the album was completed. MISSIO knew in that trip that they’d made something truly special. The album uses an effortless blend of rock, electronic, indie, and hip-hop to convey their work and uniquely define their sound and story. I Am Cinco delves deeply into introspection and processing trauma. And the coolest part of this concept is that they focused on the healing and the deep inner work that goes behind doing so healthily.
Before their performance at Goldfield Trading Post, we joined them for a conversation about this process.

We kicked off the interview by diving into the experience of touring. The duo’s authenticity and openness in sharing their story instantly hooked me into their world. From there, talks about the process of the album and its meaning, from Side A to Side B. I saw that MISSIO truly enjoyed spending time curating the album and wanted fans to experience it much like the old-school double LPs.
