Volbeat Announces 9th Album and World Tour With New Single

Danish rock band Volbeat is set to make a significant impact in 2025 with the announcement of their ninth studio album on March 6th, God of Angels Trust, scheduled for release on June 6, 2025. In tandem with the album release, Volbeat has announced the “Greatest of All Tours Worldwide,” a comprehensive 70-date world tour spanning from June 7th to November 13th, 2025. The tour will kick off in Vancouver, Canada, at the Rogers Arena, followed by performances in major cities across Canada, the United States, Europe, and the United Kingdom. Notably, the Canadian leg will feature co-headlining shows with Three Days Grace and Wage War, while the U.S. dates will include special guests Halestorm and The Ghost Inside. European and UK audiences can anticipate performances with special guests Bush and Gel. This upcoming album and tour marks a pivotal moment for the band, especially following the departure of longtime guitarist Rob Caggiano in June 2023. God of Angels Trust signifies a creative evolution for Volbeat, as they deliberately chose to “abandon all songwriting rules” and break away from conventional structures. Poulsen embraced a more unconventional approach to writing, resulting in a forceful album that melds catchy melodies with fresh energy.

The album’s lead single, “By a Monster’s Hand,” also released alongside this, offering fans a glimpse into the band’s renewed vigor. The track features driving guitars, a mid-paced intensity, and Poulsen’s commanding vocals. The accompanying music video, directed by Adam Rothlein and produced by Ghost Atomic, intersperses footage of the band’s dynamic performance with a narrative following an unsettling character, adding a visual layer to the song’s thematic elements.
