The week has just begun – catch up on recent releases with New Music Friday Dance:

1. Dom Dolla: “Dreamin (feat. Daya)”

House-tech star Dom Dolla returned with a bass-heavy bop, “Dreamin,” featuring vocalist Daya. The looping lyrics paired with the thumping bassline immediately hypnotize the listener. The track’s tension-filled, dark ambiance matches the color scheme of the movie-like music video, which follows an office worker who slowly descends into hedonistic delirium.

2. Stoley: “Seeking Pleasure”

L.A. DJ and producer Stoley brought the funk with his new single, “Seeking Pleasure.” This mellow house track’s highlights include a soft, filtered vocal line, embellished by uplifting harmonies and subtle key arpeggios that bounce around the soundscape. The builds and drops maintain a consistent energy, promoting a sense of blissful focus.

3. Korolova, JV: “Keep It Real”

Melodic techno DJ Korolova of Ukraine joined forces with the underground JV for her new single, “Keep It Real.” The deep, thunderous bassline and eerie sliding synths exude immense power. A catchy vocal sample drives the track forward, punctuating each new section of ominously chopped sounds. Any big festival would be right to play this one.

4. Avi Sic, FOOTWURK: “Work It”

Chicago native Avi Sic and Canadian FOOTWURK created tech-house euphoria with their recent single, “Work It.” The instrumental contains several gritty and tough sounds, but masterfully combines them in a way that still feels exciting and energetic, without feeling too heavy or out of place with the vocal sample. This one is for the shufflers.

5. Goom Gum, Deepest Blue: “Deepest Blue”

Goom Gum and UK-based Deepest Blue are ready for festival season with their latest project, “Deepest Blue.” The track is expansive and majestic, invoking dreamy images of nature in both sound and lyrics: “The sun will always shine on you / You turn my ocean deepest blue.” The chorus melody is a highlight of the track, instantly memorable.
