Full of accolades and one-of-a-kind worldbuilding ideas, global success The Weeknd returns to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood beginning September 5th. The all-new haunted house is called “The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy,” potentially related to the new album era he has been teasing since the end of Dawn FM. Known for his exceptionally theatric stages on tour, the attraction is sure to lure in fans and horror enthusiasts alike.

In 2022, the star first collaborated with Halloween Horror Nights, creating “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare” inspired by his record-breaking project. “The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy” is his second infusion, ready to deliver fans a unique and thrilling experience through music and some original scoring by multi-Grammy-winning producer, Mike Dean. For longtime admirers of The Weeknd, this type of promotion comes as no surprise, given his referential affinity for horror, which stretches back to his first mixtape. Approaching the end of his second trilogy, the haunted house may provide more context to the upcoming final chapter.

Universal Studios Hollywood will host several other exciting houses and “scare zones,” including the exclusive Terror Tram. Named this year “Terror Tram: Enter the Blumhouse,” visitors can expect encounters with characters from Blumhouse’s most popular films, such as M3GAN, The Black Phone, Freaky, The Purge, and Happy Death Day. The iconic Texas Chainsaw Massacre will feature its 50th anniversary edition haunted house, including all 9 versions of Leatherface over the years. The Purge will bring visitors through a rocky adventure, playing on the survival theme of the franchise. Just outside the “Monstruos 2: Nightmares of Latin America” house is “Luchadores Monstruos,” a brand new scare zone, bringing a sense of mystery. Lastly, “Chainsaw Punkz,” “Skull Lordz” and “Murder of Crowz” introduce visitors to Horror Nights, keeping excitement high from the very beginning.

Don’t feel like being scared? Luckily, guests can experience select open attractions, including “Jurassic World – The Ride,” “The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™,” “Flight of the Hippogriff™,” “Transformers™: The Ride-3D,” “Revenge of the Mummy—The Ride” and “The Simpsons Ride™.” Some ticket holders will also receive same-day access to SUPER NINTENDO WORLD™ from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (subject to change).

Don’t wait, and visit Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood beginning Thursday, September 5th, and continuing until Sunday, November 3rd. For more ticketing/pass information and purchasing, click here.
