Franky Wah has become a household name in the electronic dance music scene. The rising star from Yorkshire, England, embodies the essence of club culture with his dynamic sound and mastering of multiple genres. His chart-topping releases have earned him a devoted fanbase and recognition from peers in the field, blending influences from trance, breakbeat, afro-house, and techno to create a diverse and forward-thinking sonic identity.
The artist has utilized this success to bring forth a spotlight to his multi-faceted creative outlet, SHÈN. SHÈN serves as a record label, a clothing brand and an event series, that allows the Franky to orchestrate the perfect avenues to share his Chinese heritage and his signature sounds with the rest of the world.
This past year, SHÈN was brought forth as a residency at Club Chinois in Ibiza for the entire summer. As well as holding event showcases across the globe, including one in London. Franky Wah returns to Club Chinois in 2024 to lead the Sunday event series, SHÈN, offering attendees unforgettable performances amid stunning visuals and immersive decor influenced by Ancient China.
Take a look at the set uploaded from London (via YouTube) to see what SHÈN is all about.
Last years residency featured the likes of Nora En Pure, THEMBA, Sasha & John Digweed, and many more.
One of the reasons SHÈN events have become so popular amongst attendees is the amount of unique and talented artists that are invited to perform. By carefully hand picking artists to join the residency for performances, Franky Wah ensures that a certain level of expertise is consistently met. The artist selection ranges from hot up and comers to legends in the scene. Last years lineup included Miss Monique, Simon Doty, and Joris Voorn to name a few more that fans were excited about. It should go without saying, but you can also expect some of the best performances from the man himself, Franky Wah.
I am sure there are many more surprises in store as far as the lineup is concerned, so stay tuned for more details. Taking over Sunday nights, SHÈN Ibiza starts on 16 June and runs weekly until 29 September. You can head here for tickets.
