With the spark of the weekend behind us, we can’t stop thinking about our time at this year’s Seismic Dance Event. The south’s premiere and boutique house and techno music festival showcases some of the best rising names in dance music.
Keep reading to see who our top five acts of the weekend were!
Mau P
We started off our weekend strong with one of our favorites, Mau P. The energy was high, and every hand in the crowd was raised, furthering up the hype and the collective experience of the festival.
Qrtrs
One strong set was Qrtrs’ night set on Friday! She brought so many world sounds into her performance, and gave so much variety. We definitely danced the hardest during this set. The energy she poured on the stage flowed effortlessly into the audience, who all danced along and felt pulled by her music.
Boys Noize
Boys Noize was just complete bangers after bangers. He brought so much energy and it was inviting watching him dance so hard to his set and be so interactive with the crowd (without even having to speak) he played his collaboration with Rico Nasty and the crowd went absolute goofy over that drop!
Wax Motif
Wax Motif brought all the bass in his set, which was so refreshing because he really does have his own sound, much like the other artists we’ve listed. But it was just so bassy and dancy and definitely was highlight of the final day.
Kaskade In The Rain
Something is just so nostalgic about hearing an OG play his some of his most beautiful tracks in the rain. He played so many fan favorites and of course gave a fabulous show. It was the perfect way to close out the main stage on the last day of the festival!
Stay tuned for more news on Seismic Dance Event! We look forward to next year’s, for sure!
