Blondfire Embraces The End In ‘Elated’

The discussion about the end of the world is a topic that’s been swirling around everyone’s consciousness for the last few decades. While it has existed longer than that as found in the Bible, Art and ancient manuscripts throughout history. Recently it has made it’s presence felt in the modern age in occasions such as the Y2K (2000), 12/12/12 (December 12, 2012). To top it all off, it’s been coming at us (again) with a vengeance due to list of man made and environmental catastrophes we’ve been experiencing. As if a nemesis, these close calls taunts us that one day everything we know and love will all fade to dust -including you. Upping the ante, the terrifying part is the slap to face of a fact that we don’t know when it’ll happen.

This same suffocating air of uncertainty, and worry appears in Blondfire’s latest song entitled ‘Elated’. Released October 3rd in all major streaming platforms worldwide via Bliss Productions. Blondfire’s ‘Elated’ is a tune that mirrors how we all feel about the end of the world – deeply terrified. What sets it apart from our own view though is that it also sees the end as a sigh of mixed emotions. To compare it to Peanuts’ Charlie Brown, this energetic track is a way of saying “Good grief..” amidst all the mishaps.

Despite this melancholy intertwined with a spark of joy that it’s finally over. ‘Elated’ is a track that doesn’t just dwell on the event itself and how we perceive it. With vibrant vocals and upbeat instrumentals laced with addicting beats to get us going. Setting the stage for an open dialogue as to how we’re going to spend our final hours in a meaningful way. Moreover, it’s a quick check up on our preparations for ‘dooms day’. Are we doing something now, or do we wait for the final moments just to cobble an ‘exit’ strategy? For a restless civilization that’s been crumbling like a pumpkin spice cookie, Blondfire’s message shouldn’t be thrown to way side and dismissed as another dance hit to keep us ‘Elated’. Rather it should be a warning sign that we all need to do better while we still have that luxury of time.
