Following the release of their “Essence” EP, Star Seed has come forth with the deluxe edition of the EP, available now for streaming on all platforms via Lost In Dreams. The deluxe edition of “Essence” adds remixes by KEPIK, Cafe Disko, Dreweybear and Eyezic, as well as their own VIP of “It’s Just You. Rounding out the EP to a pleasing ten tracks, the deluxe edition breaths new life into the project. Full of entrancing melodies and heartfelt lyrics, the EP hits close to home and provides a new look at the loved and familiar tracks off the original EP. With each remix bringing the individual artist’s own spin to a track off the EP and the VIP of “It’s Just You” putting a fresh face on the track, the deluxe edition of the EP celebrates new artists as well as Star Seed.
Speaking on “Essence (Deluxe),” Star Seed spoke of their inspiration behind having some tracks off the “Essence” EP remixed and why they chose all the artists, saying,
“We felt that it would be really inspiring to have our body of work ‘Essence’ re-imagined by some of our close friends, as well as a couple revamped by ourselves. All of the artists who worked on the deluxe release are always creating cutting-edge sounds and have such individualistic tonal aesthetics in their music that we felt they would truly embody a new feeling that would compliment the original project.”
Known for the genre-burring music that explores experimental pop with themes of spirituality, nature and beyond, Star Seed have become a familiar artist on Lost In Dreams. In addition to their multiple releases on the label, the duo performed at the second Lost In Dreams festival. The duo has landed official remixes for artists such as Nurko, Trivecta and The Chainsmokers, and received placements on playlists such as Spotify’s New Music Friday Dance, Apple Music’s Future Dance Hits and Amazon’s Bass Box. With support on their tracks from Zeds Dead, Alison Wonderland, Gryffin and many more, it’s highly likely that one has heard one of their tracks played out live.
