After spending last summer simmering with anti-fascist rage, POLYACHi decided to take the gloves off forever.
The Iowa-based sludge punk duo—made up of cousins Schuyler and Des—recently released “GOOSESTEP,” which is the second single from their upcoming album, THE BLUEBiRD OF NOTHiNGNESS.
“GOOSESTEP” is an anti-fascist anthem written with the intent of damaging the egos of those who uphold systems of oppression. Fittingly named after a military marching style, the song calls out people who turn a blind eye and keep in line instead of putting up a fight.

POLYACHi, “GOOSESTEP”
“GOOSESTEP” was made to be obviously critical, and POLYACHi shares it is “directed toward anyone standing in complicit silence as facism sweeps America and as fascists carry out a genocide against the trans community.”
Musically, the track is a blend of punk, metal and industrial noise. Behind POLYACHi’s aggressive vocals are blaring guitars and clamorous percussion that reflect the feelings of rage with which the song was written.
