Niall Horan Pulls Back The Curtain With Live Performance Video Of “On A Night Like Tonight”

Niall Horan continues his partnership with Vevo in the launch of their new Extended Play series with his latest video, “On A Night Like Tonight.” The track comes off of Horan’s new album The Show, which he released in early June, and is an atmospheric melody that stands out from some of the album’s more distinctly upbeat or emotional songs.

Horan has now released four videos for the Extended Play series, and is the first artist to partner with the company for the series. The aim of Extended Play is to showcase live performances from artists in more intimate settings that better reflect their recording studios rather than massive, show-stopping performances. “At the heart of this new series is the artist’s intention and their willingness to draw their listeners close to witness both contemplation and the process of creating something new that goes out into this wild world,” says Chris Pereira, the series’ executive producer.

In this case, the video follows Horan as he enters a distinctly California home, a location similar to where he does much of his recording, to his band set up and ready to play. For the rest of the song, we follow Horan as he gives an intimate performance in the home, moving through the space as he begins to feel the music more and more. It ends with him back outside on the deck, feeling the night air and capturing some of the magic of “On A Night Like Tonight.”
