Singer, songwriter and producer Nette released her new single “I Need an Adult” and let’s face it, everyone in their twenties feels this way. Nette wrote and produced this track with Brandon Unit and Bradley Simmons of Velveteen Music. “I Need an Adult” is lighthearted, upbeat and is for all the twenty year olds who feel like they are failing at adulting. Being in your twenties is not easy, you know that it is time to put on your big girl pants but sometimes it is just scary. Do I really need to call and make my own doctors appointment? Nette perfectly captures all of the emotions what it feels like to feel trapped in that mindset of nothing going right. Putting pressure on yourself to have it all figure out and waiting for someone in life to guide you, however she’s a grownup now, she has to take the reins. I don’t think I am the only one who one hundred percent feels this way. Couldn’t wait to grow up just to feel stressed and lost all the time. Although the track has relatable angsty message, it is portrayed in a funny comedic way. Nette’s lyrics are purely natural and her vocals are soft and comforting. “I Need an Adult” is a track that will resonate with many people and I think it is just needed to remind ourselves to take a deep breath.
