Gloomchild Re-Imagines Single, “SLMN” in New Direction

Formed in 2017, Gloomchild has become prevalent in how they blend metalcore with dark synths, weave classical orchestra in the harmonies, and introduce post-rock and heavy vocal breakdowns. Born in the depths of personal despair, they’ve evolved throughout the years to create an intense experience for listeners all around.

From their first album, the project curates a new rendition of their track “SLMN” to reflect the skillsets of newly introduced band members and their sound. The track begins with a slowed, calming atmosphere before the vocals compliment the scene with clean, dynamic range with bass guitar harmonizing with them. A slowed tempo adds an even more raw and emotional element throughout the track, until the song climaxes with heavy screams to hit its emotional peak. Delicate synth piano glimmers in the background as intricate guitar work sings on its own. All the elements together curate an emotional masterpiece.
