Betcha Releases Powerful New Single, “On Track”

On March 11, indie alt-rock band Betcha released their new single, “On Track,” via CHABETTY Records. The single is accompanied by an upbeat music video, shot and edited by fellow Nashville native and music artist Joey Brodnax.

“On Track” is the titular track of Betcha’s newest album, set to be released the same day as its namesake. On Track was preceded by the release of “5AM,” covered previously as a “kick-ass, catchy single holding true to the spirit of alt-rock,” and “Grey Skies,” which according to the band, was “born out of a cross country road trip out west,” full of wanderlust and longing. “On Track” builds off of its sister tracks, featuring soulful vocals by lead vocalist Charlie Green, impressive runs by Ben Booth on the guitar, captivating beats by Chase Wofford, and banger harmonies by Taylor Dubray on the bass and keys. The lyrics are defiant and invigorating, the narrator clawing his way out of a pit of universal despair fueled by genre-appropriate anger, rebelliousness, and pure energetic verve.

This familiar sound is a constant for Nashville-based alternative rock band Betcha. Having been featured on acts such as AltNation, SPIN, and American Songwriter, the rising band has made the best out of a bad situation by writing and releasing impressive singles over the course of the pandemic starting in 2020. A few of the singles included “If That’s Alright,” “Closer to the Sun,” “Deja Vu,” and “5AM,” cementing their place in the alt-rock scene with their unique electronica and punchy pop sound. Betcha has earned widespread critical acclaim from major platforms such as Flaunt and Billboard, who commented on the band, saying, “if you have any concerns about the softening presence of rock in today’s music landscape, Betcha is here to remind you that rock is healthy, thriving, and here to stay.”
