Upon the cusp of releasing her second full-length as a solo artist, Lacey Sturm met with us last week to talk about her latest release, “State of Me.” While we discussed the single and its message, we also chatted about her life as a mother, growth in the last five years, and how she overcame depression through love.

Known best for their track, “All Around Me,” Lacey and the band express real love, much deeper than something romantic, and it’s expressed so simply and beautifully without holding back on rocking out.
Since departing from the band, Lacey has released a solo full-length, which topped the hard rock charts upon its unveiling. As she works on her craft with her husband, who has a monumental part in producing visuals and sound, she lives life as a mother of three at home.
